Data Storage Device Destruction

Shred Spot can securely destroy your electronic data storage devices by degaussing and/or destroying them. We will destroy data stored on hard drives, solid state drives, CDs, floppy disk drives, tapes, thumb drives and more.

If the drive is removed from the device (computer, laptop, cell phone, tablet, etc.) you can stay and watch it be destroyed. If the drive needs to be removed from the device you cannot stay for the destruction process due to the amount of time it takes to remove the drive from the device. A certificate of destruction is available upon request for drop-offs and is provided for all pick-ups.

For each ton of electronics destroyed and recycled by Shred Spot, 1.65 tons of carbon emissions from burning coal are prevented from entering the atmosphere. For every 50 tons of electronics destroyed and recycled by Shred Spot, the annual energy consumption of 27 households is conserved.
